Musical theatre - The Painted Lizard
Theater & dance
"Lagarto Pintado" (The Painted Lizard) is a journey across the musical imagery of children’s popular songs. The original music and arrangements by Nuno Côrte-Real couple with a fantastic story, put on stage, from the text by Silvia Abreu.
Composed in 2015 by Nuno Côrte-Real, the Children's Songbook "Lagarto Pintado" (The Painted Lizard), op.48 is a lush succession of elegantly intertwined musical environments, with vaguely baroque and classical resonances, from Mozart to Schubert. Giving soul to this work, with scenography by Catarina Rolo Salgueiro and interpretation by Diana Vaz, one finds the Children's Choir of the University of Lisbon, in an almost operatic atmosphere, filled with colour and imagination.
