From under the ground to the lab

Are the archaeological remains garbage from the past? What does archeology have to tell us about the city of Lisbon?
Have you ever thought that landfill sites, found underground, can be unique opportunities to study the people and cities of the past?
What others threw away in the past are now archaeological remains that we can and should investigate! Through crockery, toys, or game pieces, we can get to know Lisbon, its inhabitants and their lives in different eras. Lisbon was (and continues to be!) a city facing the Tagus River, with great commercial dynamism, where people and objects from all over the world arrived and departed, which we are going to discover together!
